William S. Goodman

Hi! Please call me "Billy."

I'm a veteran digital creative and trans-media geek working at the intersection of digital storytelling, user experience design, and omni-channel marketing. I have over 20 years of experience in concepting, developing, pitching, producing, publishing, marketing, programming, managing, strategizing, and monetizing multi-media, multi-platform storytelling and user experiences to drive the business goals of the world's most exciting tech and entertainment brands. And for 15 of those years, I’ve led teams. In leadership roles with Amazon Global Selling, Amazon Devices, Amazon Music, Ticketmaster/Live Nation, Fuse TV, SPIN, and others, I've built and led teams in brand storytelling, content and UX, and marketing that turns people into customers, and customers into fans.

In early 2020, I returned to Amazon as Creative Director / Head of Content Strategy with the Devices Brand Studio, the internal creative agency servicing all product lines, from Alexa, Echo, and Kindle to Fire TV, Halo, Astro, Glow, and beyond. I led a team that leveraged dynamic data sets to define and deliver Amazon Devices storytelling to the right customer on the right platform, at the right time, to drive brand and product awareness, conversion, and engagement. My team owned both creative and content strategy, defining how we projected a brand, as well as the planning, managing, and optimizing the creation and distribution of content to achieve business objectives.

In December 2022, I moved into a Sr. Creative Director, Content & UX role with Amazon's Global Sellers org, where I lead all content operations in aiding US-based brands in their expansion to Amazon’s global markets. This includes content and UX within Seller Central, the internal tool and data base that enables all Sellers to manage their accounts, products, and sales across various global markets.

In May 2025, I returned to Amazon Music — where I worked 2013-2016 as Head of Editorial, Social & Content Strategy — to lead creative and content strategy for the Audience Development Growth Marketing team, a ring-fenced org focused on using content and experiences to drive app downloads, first sign-ins, and first plays. Working alongside a media team and creative production resources, I used dynamic user data sets and channel insights to define what creative marketing assets we produced for each campaign, and which in-app user experiences we created to ultimately stop customers from scrolling — and drive them from social into the product funnel.

In April 2025, I left Amazon after nearly a decade with the company to travel, consult, and selectively interview for my next role.

I'm here to build the future of digital experience, and have a ton of fun doing it.

Nice to meet ya!

Let’s shape the future together…
